About the products
A Mena period panty is a reusable menstrual underwear designed to absorb your flow without the need for pads or tampons. Made with innovative, breathable layers including natural hemp fabric, each panty locks in your period, neutralises odors, and keeps you feeling dry and confident all day.
It works just like regular underwear, but better. Wear, bleed, wash, repeat. Whether it’s for your heaviest days or just a little backup, Mena adapts to your cycle, supports your body, and respects the planet.

Mena panties are made to have you covered for 12 hours, a whole day or a whole night.
We use organic cotton and hemp, both breathable and naturally antibacterial. All our fabrics are certified Oeko-Tex 100, safe for your skin and for the planet.
We recommend using 5 underwear for a stress-free period. But you can start with less to get used to it.
The Mena panties work on their own, but if it make you feel more comfy it is perfectly fine to use it alongside a tampon or menstrual cup. It's up to you!
Absolutely, our highly absorbant underwear are designed to keep you protected through the night, without any discomfort.
Of course! Our design makes them small and easy to pack. No need to carry packs of disposables, just rinse, wash, and reuse. Fun fact : Daphné, the founder, already spent weeks traveling in the jungle in Central Africa only using our panties!
First of all, congratulations on your new arrival! 🤍 While Mena underwear isn’t specifically designed for postpartum recovery or incontinence, it can help with light bleeding or small leaks in the weeks after birth. However, for heavier postpartum flow or incontinence, we recommend using products made especially for that stage.
We’re working toward more inclusive solutions in the future, your comfort and care matter to us.
Care
We advise you to always do a first washing (hand or machine) before using your panty for the very first time, in order to activate the absorbant fibers.
Then, after wearing your Mena panty, easy :
- rince it with cold water to take the most of the blood possible out,
- hand or machine wash at 30 degrees max (we advise you not to use greasy soaps or fabric softener to avoid clogging the absorbent fibres),
- air dry it (no tumble drier!)
You can also detox your panties every 6 months, or whenever they absorb a bit less :
- put your panties in 5L of very hot water + 2 table spoons of baking soda,
- soak for a few hours or overnight,
- machine wash them,
- let them air-dry
With the right care, Mena panties are made to last between 3 to 5 years, exactly like your normal other undies. That’s thousands of disposables avoided, and tons of money saved :)
Size
We recommend you to always size up from your normal size.
Absorption & Flows
Each Mena panty has you covered for up to 12 hours, depending on your flow. On average, it can absorb the equivalent of 3 to 5 tampons, but since every body (and every tampon) is different, it's more about how you feel than exact numbers.
Each Mena panty is designed to support you from light to heavy days. If your flow is particularly intense or hemorrhagic, we recommend using more than one panty throughout the day to stay comfy and protected.
